Yahoo HackDay Q4 06
December 10th, 2006Well, I participated in another HackDay this Thursday and Friday. I can’t tell you what my hack was about, but I can say that it was pretty kewl and got a warm reception from others at the event.
Here are a couple of photos of me at the event, well the photos aren’t of me, but I am in them..
Enjoy
Update: Well it turns out that I won Best Hack for my submission.

September 17th, 2006Arlen Ness’s Museum
September 3rd, 2006Today we went up north to test drive a new Mini Cooper. The cooper was a bust because Donna hated driving it (of all things, she likes the Scion xA better), but on the plus side we got to take a tour of the Arlen Ness museum above his shop. Here are some pics.
Yahoo! Hack Day
June 17th, 2006Well, I participated in my first Yahoo! Hack Day on Thursday & Friday. I’m not sure if I am allowed to tell everyone what my hack was, but I think I can tell you all that I won a trophy for “Best Use of API’s”. So one month after I started at Yahoo! I get to put a trophy on my desk for Hack Day
The picture I have attached is the only one I have found that I am in. I am wearing a yellow shirt just to the right of the center.

Seeing the Redwoods
June 10th, 2006Today we went on a hiking trip in The Big Basin State Park. We got to see the famous California Redwoods. Let me tell you, there are hardly any words that can describe seeing them. It is really a “you have to see it, to believe it” kind of thing.
We didn’t stay for too long because we ran into a couple of glitches. First, you have to pay to park at California parks (we didn’t know that), so we didn’t have enough cash to park. However, we managed to get a spot & where able to take one of the shorter trails. The second glitch was the fact that it was very cold & windy. So we all had to buy some long sleeve shirts. Even then, it was a bit of a brisk walk.
We are definitely going back, only the next time we will be better prepared..
Monterey Bay Aquarium
June 10th, 2006I just got around to exporting these from the camera. We went down to the Monterey Bay Aquarium last weekend. So here are the pics that we took.
