Today we went to Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo, CA. It was pretty kewl, we got to see an Orca perform some really kewl tricks. Got to ride some kewl rides & see some really kewl animals..

Arlen Ness’s Museum

Today we went up north to test drive a new Mini Cooper. The cooper was a bust because Donna hated driving it (of all things, she likes the Scion xA better), but on the plus side we got to take a tour of the Arlen Ness museum above his shop. Here are some pics.

This weekend Zach took his first two Shaolin Kung Fu classes. He was a little iffy in the first class, but seemed to enjoy it more the second time around. At Ben’s Kung Fu, they offer a really good set of classes, from children’s classes to adult classes, as well as Tai Chi classes.

I am most interested in taking some of the Tai Chi classes. I think that the park down the street from us has Tai Chi classes on the weekends, I will have to check them out..

Wow, Donna was surfing today & found out that we have a drive-in theater no more than 20 minutes from our house. Century Capitol Drive-In. This is totally kewl, Donna & I used to go to the one back home almost every weekend, until it closed.. Now that was a real bummer. I simply love drive-in theaters, I get to go to a theater & bring my own food, sit in my own comfy vehicle & I get to smoke without leaving the theater

Zach doesn’t remember going because he was too small to remember, but we are taking him to this one this weekend. I think he will love it, besides we are going to see BarnYard & My Super Ex-Girlfriend. I’ll write back to let you all know what I think of the place..

Update: The theater was pretty good, a little on the dirty side, but otherwise it was enjoyable.

Sorry, I haven’t posted in a while. The family & I have been busy enjoying our time in California. We should be getting back out and taking some more pictures soon. I’ll post more about them when the time comes.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my Mom made it out here last night. We picked her up at the airport last night about 11:00. Zach had no idea that she was coming. We wanted to suprise him & boy was he surprised.. We convinced him that we would be going to the airport to get him a little airplane.. We told him that the stores where closed & that we had to wait by the glass for them to open it..

Today we went to Santa Cruz. My Mom got to see a real lighthouse, the ocean & a sea lion.. So she is having a blast.

Today we went on a hiking trip in The Big Basin State Park. We got to see the famous California Redwoods. Let me tell you, there are hardly any words that can describe seeing them. It is really a “you have to see it, to believe it” kind of thing.

We didn’t stay for too long because we ran into a couple of glitches. First, you have to pay to park at California parks (we didn’t know that), so we didn’t have enough cash to park. However, we managed to get a spot & where able to take one of the shorter trails. The second glitch was the fact that it was very cold & windy. So we all had to buy some long sleeve shirts. Even then, it was a bit of a brisk walk.

We are definitely going back, only the next time we will be better prepared..

Well, I haven’t taken alot of photos yet, but here are a few of the apartment & us having some fun in the sun by the pool.

Sorry for the delay in posting, but last week was pretty hectic. In other news, Donna & Zach arrived safe and sound on Saturday.

We are still in the process of cleaning up the house & getting settled. I’ll post more later when I get the time.
