I think it is a great idea. I'm guessing you are still going to keep the same strucutre? (e.g. tools lib is a seperate standalone library and doesn't have any dependencies) I use the tools library on its own at the moment and like the DOM enhancements on top of YUI(insertAfter, removeElement etc). Some other DOM add-ons like the ones at http://www.thinkvitamin.com/features/javascript/15-things-you-can-do-with-yahoo-ui would be nice. I’m all for optimization a smaller file size.
